Trying again

I have discovered I'm very bad at blogging on a regular basis. I used to be fairly good at it...but I also used to delve into way TMI areas a little too frequently. So I'm trying this again. Art and photography are my two main outlets now, and I needed a place to show them off :) So here we go:

This is a photo I took last week and post-processed into HDR (I used three images -2/0/+2 merged in Photomatix). I personally think it's one of the better pictures I've taken. I'm looking to start a store on Smugmug soon...I'm stocking up on images now so I have something to offer initially. I'd like at least 10 or 12 good images to put up before I open up. I have a couple I'm working on...trying to get them a little crisper. Once I start with the heavy-duty photo walks and photo bike rides in the summer, my stock should increase dramatically. Being restricted to nearby places and household object is a little boring...some people are absolutely brilliant photographing whatever they have on hand. I'm not so much. But I'm still learning. Just hoping to make a little bit through Smugmug to get some better equipment one of these days. I haven't given up on drawing, however. It is still my first and best love, although I don't make much money at it:

This is one of the images I did for a recent kiriban I held on deviantArt...to my 15k viewer :) It's a picture of her CoH character, Sapphic Neko :) I had immense fun drawing her.
